Pensioner dies in farming accident

An elderly farmer has died in a road accident near his home.

89-year-old George O'Donnell from Clonmany in Co Donegal was driving his tractor along the main road when he lost control and the vehicle plunged down a nearby embankment.

The pensioner died a short time later.
