A battle is underway to save two pilot whales who have become trapped in a tidal inlet on a West Cork island.

A battle is underway to save two pilot whales who have become trapped in a tidal inlet on a West Cork island.

The whales were spotted by local people last evening who informed Valentia Coast Guard.
