The Northern Secretary John Reid has said it is important to point out that the European Court ruling on the shootings of IRA men this morning contained no findings of unlawful killings or a shoot-to-kill policy.

The Northern Secretary John Reid has said it is important to point out that the European Court ruling on the shootings of IRA men this morning contained no findings of unlawful killings or a shoot-to-kill policy.

Dr Reid said the judgement did contain criticisms of procedures in relation to investigations and inquiries and that these would be "taken very seriously".
