Stiffer fines and jail terms face reluctant tribunal witnesses
Anyone who refuses to co-operate with tribunal could face fines of up to £250,000 and serve up to 2 years in prison, if a new bill passes into law.
Fine Gael today brought the brought before the Tribunals of Inquiry (Evidence) Bill 2001 before the Dail , where it was allowed through to the next stage of the legislative process.
