Senior Garda apologises to Carthy hearing
A senior Garda has apologised to the Abbeylara Inquiry for referring to the murdered Belfast solicitor Pat Finucane as a republican in a report to the Dáil sub committee.
Earlier, chief superintendent Adrian Culligan said he regretted comments made about the Carthy family during today's sitting after a legal representative of the family claimed John Carthy's character had been assassinated.
