The inquiry into the Abbeylara shooting continues later today.

Yesterday, Garda Commissioner Pat Byrne refused to tell the inquiry, why a third bullet was fired at John Carthy when he appeared to be falling and was of no threat to Gardai.

Two attempts by legal counsel for certain gardai to prevent some lines of questioning, were rejected by the committee.
