Foot-and-mouth test results due today

Farmers in the North are waiting anxiously for results of the tests carried out on the two latest suspected cases of foot-and-mouth.

Test results on animals from farms in Ardboe, Co Tyrone and Ballintoy, Co Antrim are due today.

If the suspected case in Ballintoy, Co Antrim is confirmed, it means that the highly contagious virus has been detected outside of Co Tyrone for the first time.
