ASTI reject all-out strike action

Teachers will not be returning to the picket lines in pursuit of their pay claim after ASTI delegates overwhelmingly voted this evening to reject all-out strike action.

However, if the deal put forward by the Labour court is rejected - as is expected - teachers will work to rule, which could close schools in any case.
