Rodgers to decide on easing animal movement restrictions

The North's Agriculture Minister Brid Rodgers is to decide today whether to ease movement restriction on animals by allowing their transport to slaughterhouses.

All movement of animals has been prohibited since two new cases of foot-and- mouth were discovered last weekend at Ardboe, Co Tyrone and Cushendall, Co Antrim.
