Gardai have named the boy who was killed in a road accident in Co Cork

yesterday.

He was David Breeney, aged 11, from Moneen in Glanworth.

He died in a two-car collision in Rathcormac, near Fermoy. His mother, who was also injured in the crash, is in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

Elsewhere, the man who died in an accident in Galway City earlier this morning

has been named as Gary Keady.

Mr Keady, who was in his early twenties and from Castlepark in Galway, died when his motorcycle was in collision with a car on the Headford Road in the early hours of the morning.
