Decision due in Tallaght Two case
The Court of Criminal Appeal is to decide this morning whether to grant certification of a miscarriage of justice in the case of two Dublin men.
Joseph Meleady and Joseph Grogan, known as the Tallaght Two, are seeking the certificates in a case which dates back to the 1980s.
The men were jailed as teenagers for assault and malicious damage to a car, but their convictions were subsequently quashed.
If the certification is granted, it will greatly strengthen their case for compensation from the State.
