Belfast man shot in legs in punishment attack

A 19-year-old man is recovering in hospital in the North following a paramilitary-style punishment shooting.

The man was shot in both ankles during the attack, which is believed to have occurred in the New Barnsley Crescent area of west Belfast.

An RUC spokesman said police investigations into the shooting were continuing.
