Defence Minister visits Irish troops in Lebanon

The Minister for Defence is visiting Irish troops in Lebanon.

Michael Smith is also meeting the Lebanese Defence Minister and the Force Commander of Unifil.

The Minister is visiting Irish soldiers serving in different posts in the Irish area of operation.

A total of 869 Irish military personnel is currently serving overseas. There are 608 based in Lebanon as part of Unifil.
