Rodgers 'hugely relieved' at negative foot and mouth results

The North's Agriculture Minister Brid Rodgers said she is hugely relieved that preliminary tests on a second suspected foot and mouth case in the North have yielded negative results.

She said that compared to the results she could have been announcing, it was a huge boost for agriculture in the North.

However, Mrs Rodgers pointed out that the results were only preliminary and said it would be four to five days before the actual results of the test are known.
