NCT mechanics face backlog of cars

National Car Test mechanics are returning to work this morning after a ten-week-old dispute.

The staff, at more than 40 centres around the country, will now have to deal with the backlog of cars resulting from the industrial action.

Yesterday, the SIPTU members voted by a majority of 73 to 41 to accept revised LRC proposals aimed at ending the row over rosters and overtime pay.
