Minister calls for Noonan to speak out on donation

The Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs said the Fine Gael leader should declare exactly when he was made aware of the $50,000 donation from Norwegian telecommunications company Telenor.

Dermot Ahern accused Michael Noonan of covering up the fact that questions were asked about the donation in advance of last Sunday, when the matter first arose.

He said there was mounting evidence that there was a deliberate attempt to keep the details from the Moriarty Tribunal.
