Suspected murder weapon found in Cork

A knife has been recovered near the scene of a fatal stabbing in Co Cork in the early hours of this morning.

The weapon was taken away for forensic examination.

A murder investigation is underway following the death of John Heelam, from Berkeley Court in Cloyne.

A man in his thirties is being questioned by gardai over the attack, which occurred during an apparent break-in at Mr Heelam's home at around 3am.
