Parents group repeats call for truce in teachers' row

The National Parents Council has called on the ASTI to carefully consider today's Labour Court proposals on its pay dispute with the Department of Education.

The National Parents Council has called on the ASTI to carefully consider today's Labour Court proposals on its pay dispute with the Department of Education.

Director of the NPC Rose Tully said she hoped the court would make a recommendation that would be acceptable to the union.

She said her body wanted to see a decision made that would be in the best interests of students preparing for this year's Leaving and Junior Cert exams.
