Queuing for U2 tickets begins

The scramble for tickets for U2's Slane concert later this summer has already begun.

Tickets for the gig do not go on sale until 7am on Saturday morning but already two devoted fans armed with deckchairs have camped themselves outside the doors of HMV on Grafton Street.

They are expected to be joined tomorrow evening by thousands of U2 fans from all over Europe, in a bid to secure tickets for the festival, which is expected to sell out in record time.

The concert will be U2's first time to play Slane since they supported Thin Lizzy there in 1981.
