Walsh happy with Rodgers meeting
The Ministers for Agriculture on both sides of the border have completed their meeting in Dundalk this afternoon.
The Republic's Minister Joe Walsh said the meeting was held to "review the information exchange between North and South authorities".
He assured the public that officials at both departments were "on the same wavelength" regarding the foot and mouth outbreak and there would be no let-up in the restrictions and controls currently in place.
Mr Walsh also revealed that tough new legislation aimed at stopping rogue livestock dealers will be passed in the Dail tomorrow.
