Gardai launch murder inquiry

Gardai have said they are now treating the death of a 27-year-old woman, found dead in north Co Dublin earlier this week, as murder.

Gardai have said they are now treating the death of a 27-year-old woman, found dead in north Co Dublin earlier this week, as murder.

The body of Mary Whelan was found in a house in Balbriggan on Thursday morning.

Following a post mortem, carried out by Assistant State Pathologist Marie Cassidy, Gardai have launched a murder inquiry.
