Burke apologises for misleading the Dail

Ray Burke has apologised to the Flood Tribunal for misleading the Dail in 1997.

The Tribunal heard today that Mr Burke gave an inaccurate response to a Fine Gael Dail question about political donations.

The former Minister told Jim O'Keeffe that he did not receive donations outside of election times, which it has become clear was not the case.

Mr Burke said if he did mislead the Dail, it was unintentional and he would apologise to its members if he got the opportunity.
