Woman's body taken from river

Gardai are continuing their investigations into the discovery of the body of a young woman in Cork.

The woman, who was in her late twenties and originally from Lismore Co Waterford, was found in a car which was taken from the Bride River near Conna in the east of the county.

A local man reported the location of the car to gardai at about 5pm yesterday.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses.
