Garda seriously injured in stolen car incident

A Limerick garda has suffered serious leg injuries in an incident involving a stolen car.

Two others who were also injured were taken to hospital and later discharged.

The garda was standing nearby when the stolen car crashed into a taxi at the Tipperary roundabout on the Ballysimon Road.

The taxi in turn collided with him.

Although the garda suffered serious injuries, his condition was today described as stable.
