Butchers reject beef poll findings

Butchers are rejecting the findings of a new poll which shows a huge reduction in beef consumption.

The Association of Craft Butchers of Ireland say there is no evidence that less beef is being sold in family butchers across the country.

Spokesperson Pat Brady said this afternoon: "Customers who shop in local butchers are confident that the beef they buy is safe".
