New section of Dublin-Belfast motorway opens today

The latest phase of a motorway linking Dublin and Belfast opens today. The M1 is to be extended with a new 17km stretch from Dunleer in Co Dublin to Dundalk.

The opening will advance the progress of the route and form a vital chunk of the Larne to Rosslare Euro route, via the M50 and N11.
