Fisher widow to have life-saving operation

The critically ill widow of rally driver Bertie Fisher, who died late last night from injuries sustained in Sunday's helicopter crash in Co Fermanagh, is to undergo life-saving surgery today.

Her husband died late last night from injuries sustained in Sunday's helicopter crash in Co Fermanagh.

50-year-old Gladys Fisher remains in intensive care after the accident, which also claimed the lives of her son Mark, 27, and daughter, Emma, 25.

Their funerals are due to take place in their home village of Ballinamallard, Co Fermanagh on Thursday.
