Cattle destruction scheme to face challenge

Local butchers are planning a legal challenge to the cattle destruction scheme.

They said the cull has more to do with commercial reasons than protecting the consumer.

The Associated Craft Butchers of Ireland revealed it would be seeking an injunction against the scheme to protect its members.
