Meat plant workers may not co-operate with BSE scheme

SIPTU has warned that workers at the country's meat plants may not co-operate with the Cattle Destruction Scheme designed to wipe out BSE.

More than 5,000 meat plant workers are members of the union, which fears that the scheme will lead to job losses.
