VIDEO: Fair City star speaks to Cork teens about mental health, addiction and 'power of positive thinking'

A drugs and alcohol awareness talk took place today for secondary school students in the Midleton area.

Actress and mental health campaigner Rachel Sarah Murphy spoke at the event.

The Fair City star is the CEO of the Irish Film Academy and she has been working to enhance and promote good mental health among young people, focusing on mindfulness and "the power of positive thinking".

The talk was organised by Midleton gardaí in partnership with Cloyne Diocesan Youth Service and held at MY Place, Midleton.
