The dogs are in very good health and will be microchipped, certified, vaccinated, flead and wormed, and licenced before they will be put up for adoption after Christmas.

The group warned against getting surprise presents of a puppy this year, and every year, and make sure to do your homework when deciding to get a dog.

Things to look out for when buying/adopting a dog.

  • Be careful where you buy a dog from.
  • If you're buying a dog, make sure it comes with its microchip and a certificate of registration.
  • It is prefered that you see the parents of the dog as well.
  • Do no buy a dog in a carpark
