A 52 year old man was shot dead in front of his daughter, an inquest heard.

David Douglas of Killalla Road in Cabra, Dublin 7 died on July 1 2016. He died as a result of gunshot injuries, an inquest into his death, which opened at Dublin Coroner’s Court, heard.

Mr Douglas, a former Dublin zookeeper, was standing in the doorway of a shop owned by his wife Yumei when he was shot. His daughter witnessed the shooting. In a deposition read out in court, she said she rang 999 on the shop phone after the shooting.
