Limerick woman burned, stabbed, and beaten in a vicious home attack

A woman is in a critical condition in hospital after being burned, stabbed, and beaten in a vicious attack at her home in Limerick.

The serious assault took place inside the woman’s flat at Hassetts Villas, Thomondgate, in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The woman, named locally as Simone Lee, aged 37, from Thomondgate, sustained “burn marks to her face, neck, and torso”, Garda sources said.
