The erection of a more visible border between the north and south is a strong possibility once Britain’s divorce from the EU is complete, Foreign Affairs Minister Charlie Flanagan has said.

His cabinet colleague, Education Minister Richard Bruton, has also warned there can be no place for “bad politics” or “nationalist policies” as debate heats up about the terms of a Brexit.

The Cabinet is today expected to discuss Brexit after a landmark speech by British prime minister Theresa May who on the weekend outlined the timeline for Britain’s exit and the possible terms.
