Thousands of runners turned out in the Cork sunshine for the Evening Echo mini marathon.

The winner of this year's Evening Echo Mini Marathon was Emma Murphy from Model Farm road.

Emma, who is involved in St Finbarrs Athletics Club, ran the race in a time of 22 min and three seconds.
