Motor insurance increases ‘not finished yet’

Motor insurance premium hikes “have not finished yet” and could jump by 20% in the next six to nine months.

The warning came from the Automobile Association as it appeared before the joint Oireachtas committee on finance, public expenditure and reform, and Taoiseach.

AA director of consumer affairs Conor Faughnan said further hikes are likely “unless action is taken”.
