Irish concerns over Brexit were raised by Taoiseach Enda Kenny with new British Prime Minister Theresa May last night.

Within hours of her securing the keys to No 10 Downing Street, he was among various world and European leaders to speak with David Cameron’s successor. The pair have agreed to meet within weeks.

Mr Kenny said their phone conversation covered a range of issues, including the importance of building on the current excellent Anglo-Irish relations that encompass joint support of the peace process.
