Officers killed in Dallas during rally against police shootings

The death toll has since risen as five Texas police officers have been killed and seven wounded when shots were fired at a Black Lives Matter rally in downtown Dallas.

Thousands of people took to the streets of US cities to protest the shootings of two black men in Minnesota and Louisiana.

The police chief said it appeared that two snipers opened fire at the officers as the rally came to an end in Dallas. The police are currently on the lookout for suspects.
