Charlie Bird speaks about his new book on Marriage Equality referendum, 'A Day in May: Real Lives, True Stories'

Charlie Bird was in Cork this evening to promote his new book, 'A Day in May: Real Lives, True Stories'.

The book is a collection of personal interviews with members of the LGBT community which were sourced around the time of the Marriage Equality referendum.

Mr Bird spoke to the Irish Examiner about the book and what inspired him to write it.
