Man charged with uploading girls’ pictures to porn website

A 22-year-old Shannon man yesterday appeared at Ennis District court charged in connection with uploading 19 girls’ Facebook profile pictures to a pornographic site.

Evan Meehan, of Dernish Lawn, Shannon, appeared in connection with uploading 30 photos of local teenage girls to the site between October 2013 and the end of June 2014.

The 30 charges relate to 17 girls with addresses in Shannon and two other girls living in the nearby villages of Sixmilebridge and Newmarket-on-Fergus.
