Irish golfers’ accuracy affected by clubs too long for their needs

The majority of golfers are being sold clubs that are too long for them and as a result they find it harder to hit the ball straight. Most amateur players are sacrificing accuracy for length, according to Irish Clubmaker of the Year, Peter Doyle.

“A growing number are wasting a small fortune changing their clubs far too often because they’re not happy with their game. They should be getting professional advice from a custom fitter who will explain the process and tailor clubs to their precise needs,” said Mr Doyle, who is the first Irish clubmaker certified with the International Clubmakers Guild.
