Boy, 16, caught with blade while on bail over assault

Gardaí expressed concerns yesterday about the risk to public safety posed by a 16-year-old accused of a serious knife attack recently on another teenager.

The accused was granted bail last month on what Insp Fergal Foley described yesterday as a case where there were very serious injuries.

That alleged assault was carried out on March 1 on the north side of Cork city.
