Dáithí Ó Sé feels the force from the short arm of the law, Garda Ceejay

Dáithí Ó Sé has found out that life is not just a bunch of Roses after he was arrested by the country’s youngest garda — for not eating his broccoli.

He and fellow Today Show presenter Maura Derrane welcomed Monaghan native Ceejay McArdle, 3, and his mother Susan, to the set in Cork to be the programme’s “Hero of the Week”.

Ceejay was diagnosed with leukaemia at the age of two and is undergoing treatment at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
