Greens urge Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil to talk after leaving talks

Pressure on Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil to leave the civil war past behind has intensified after the Green Party left government negations.

Any chance of forming a government by the time the Dáil resumes next week is now almost impossible, as the motley crew of Independents continue to court both parties with little firm decisions made.

The Green Party had indicated yesterday it would not be continuing with the long and protracted talks involving 17 TDs.
