Cork girl’s winning Doodle 4 Google to be seen by millions

A Cork girl’s illustration of what Ireland means to her will be seen by millions this Easter after Google selected the image following a nationwide search for a picture to head its homepage.

Mia Buckley, 12, a pupil at Summercove National School in Kinsale, was yesterday announced as the winner of this year’s Doodle 4 Google competition.

She beat 74 regional finalists to secure her picture’s place on the Google Ireland homepage on Easter Monday, March 28.
