David Drumm to return home

Former Anglo Irish Bank CEO David Drumm last night formally gave up his fight against being extradited back to Ireland to face charges in relation to the bank’s collapse.

The 49-year-old had been due to attend an extradition hearing on March 1, but requested the earlier hearing.

In yesterday’s 15-minute session in a Boston court- room, defence lawyer Daniel Fetterman told Magistrate Judge Donald Cabell: “Mr Drumm would like to waive his right to a probable cause hearing and consent to extradition under the treaty.” He then submitted his client’s signed agreement.
