David Drumm to return home
The 49-year-old had been due to attend an extradition hearing on March 1, but requested the earlier hearing.
In yesterday’s 15-minute session in a Boston court- room, defence lawyer Daniel Fetterman told Magistrate Judge Donald Cabell: “Mr Drumm would like to waive his right to a probable cause hearing and consent to extradition under the treaty.” He then submitted his client’s signed agreement.
Mr Drumm, who has been in federal custody since his arrest and has denied any wrongdoing, was brought into court wearing a green prison jumpsuit, his hands cuffed behind his back. He made only brief comments, indicating to the judge he understood the proceedings.
He faces 33 charges here in Ireland including forgery, conspiracy, and false accounting.
