Pair arrested and charged with false imprisonment in Cork city

Two men were charged yesterday with falsely imprisoning a young woman and various counts under the Rape Act arising out of an investigation into an alleged incident in Cork City after a Live at the Marquee concert in June 2014.

Det Garda Sharon Sweeney formally arrested the two men by arrangement yesterday morning at Cork District Court.

The case was mentioned again shortly before lunchtime when Judge Leo Malone was told that books of evidence had been served on the two men.
