Teenager partly severed finger climbing over fence

A teenager retrieving a football from a basketball court in Carrigaline, Co Cork, partly severed his finger climbing over a fence.

Mateusz Kacper Kaczynski of Tannery Gardens, off Redemption Rd, Cork, began a civil action yesterday against Cork County Council for compensation at the High Court sitting in Cork.

The plaintiff, now 22, was 17 at the time of the incident on September 11, 2010 .
