Indecent assault GP Kevin Mulcahy undertakes not to practise medicine

A Cork GP jailed for two years after a jury found him guilty of indecently assaulting a 15-year-old girl he examined almost 26 years ago has given an undertaking to the High Court not to engage in the practice of medicine.

Kevin Mulcahy, of Cregane, Lombardstown, Mallow, Co Cork, gave the undertaking to the High Court last week.

The undertaking has now been published on the Medical Council register along with the information that the doctor has in fact been restricted, by way of High Court order, in the practice of medicine since March 28, 2011.
