Sky announces ultra HD in effort to ‘re-imagine TV’

The company yesterday announced the launch of Sky Q, its new home entertainment system that will, among other features, allow viewers to watch sports, films, and other programmes in 4K definition, which has the capacity to broadcast images at four times the resolution of high definition.

Sky Q will see a number of products available to viewers, including a new “plug and play” box giving wireless access to Sky Q in other rooms in the home without running cables from their dish and a hub which uses in-home electrical wiring as well as wifi to communicate with Sky Q boxes.
